Also check out the Basil Rathbone films, the UCLA film department has restored ALL the Basil films and they look and sound GREAT, I own that set also - you can't go wrong with either! John Madden visually illustrates the claustrophobia of a reputable public school in "The Priory School." I have both dvd collections and love them both. So glad Granada released this series, a keepsake for my video library. Best Sherlock Holmes Set Ever But, if you like the "who done it" that makes your mind work on what is "not" obvious to most, then this may be right up your alley.

The Last Vampyre (adapted from the Sussex Vampire) and the Eligible Bachelor include components of the supernatural that are not in fact explicable by ordinary logic and science. I find that this Granada version is the best dramatization of the original books. Can't say much more than to say this boxed set is worth every penny.
