The cottage was perfect, small but good facilities, beautiful kitchen and really cosy. Once a small commercial harbour used for exporting stone from the nearby quarry, Porthgain is now a very popular tourist centre thanks to a great pub, a super cafe restaurant and excellent art galleries. The location in Porthgain is unbeatable and served as an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of the Pembrokeshire coast. The cottage was excellent and in an ideal location for walking the coastal path. Excellent, well equipped cottage. Restaurant and a pub in village (neither allows dogs anywhere in the premises). Thank you Jan and Pete for greeting us and making us so welcome. A great holiday venue any time of the year.A delightful cottage, in a row of similar properties, just a short walk from the beautiful harbour at Porthgain. The tea and Welsh cakes on our arrival were a nice touch after a 7 hour car journey.
Restaurant and a pub in village (neither allows dogs anywhere in the premises). There are walks right on the doorstep, a pub and good quality fish and chip restaurant and take away 1 minute walk. If a restricted head height bothers you then feel free to make use of the sofa bed in the lounge, begrudgingly moving your top dog from their prized spot by the fire. Lovely cottage in a superb location , one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The coastal path runs right through and offers walks to stunning Abereiddy, with renowned blue lagoon and beach and also Traeth Llyfn – with steps right down to the sandy beach, which is less than a mile away.
